Robert Barnes
August 4th, 1931 - February 12th, 2010 It is with sadness that I announce the passing of Robert Barnes our longtime Pionair member.

He passed away on the Sunshine Coast after a courageous battle with cancer. Left behind to cherish the memories are his wife Susan, 3 children, Susan Stricklen, Debra Barnes, David Barnes (Ricki-Lynn), 2 step-children, Darcey Smith (Dwight), and Jason Smith (Leanne).

Bob joined PWA in the early 1950's and was station manager in London, England from 1971-1974. He transferred to PWA Holidays, and stayed in the tour and travel side of the business working for Canadian Holidays and World of Vacations, from which he retired.
Bob was a kind man to friends and strangers, a generous and giving person, and had the ability to make people feel at ease in any setting.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held on April 3, 2010, at the UBC Golf Club from 1:00PM to 4:00PM.

Our sincere condolences go to all his family and friends who shall miss him.
