George "Robbie" Wilfrid Robbins died peacefully after a long and courageous struggle with dementia and Parkinson's disease.

He was born and raised near Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, coming to the West Coast with his young family in 1950 when CP AIR made Vancouver their headquarters.

Early in his life, George developed a fascination with engines. During WW11 he joined the RCAF where he began his vocational training as a mechanic. Robbie's work at CP Air as one of the managers of the engine overhaul division spanned 35 years and gave him a sense of pride and accomplishment.

He was very involved in CP Air Charitable Donations fund and was an early founder/supporter of Canadian Airlines International Retirees Association (C.A.I.R.E.) But the real love of his life was serving in many capacities at St. Augustine"s Anglican Church (Marpole) where he was happily involved for over 50 years.

George is survived by his wife Margaret, daughters, Beth , Jean (Henry) and Gwen(Michael) and many grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sat Feb. 20th at 2PM at St Augustine's Anglican Church, 8680 Hudson St, Vancouver, BC

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Columbus Residence. Our sincere condolences go to all his family and friends who shall miss him.
